Maple Place Villas is a gated community in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, that is manned by a security guard 24/7. It is the kind of community where elderly people go to retire and the lawns are all freshly manicured. However in May of 2011, the community was rocked by a shocking murder that revealed family strife, teenage rebellion and fatal consequences. It was a murder case that spawned great division and at its very core, was a messy and tragic story where the only common denominator was that every single person involved had regrets.
