In December 1990, families across Utah were busy preparing for Christmas, wrapping presents and decorating their homes. Among them was the Tiede family, who had retreated to their secluded cabin in Oakley to celebrate the holidays. After a day of last-minute shopping, they returned to their cabin, unaware that a nightmare awaited them. What should have been a time of joy quickly turned into a harrowing fight for survival.
