Mont Vernon is a town located in New Hampshire in the United States. It is the home of around 2,500 residents, and consists almost entirely of single-family homes and just a handful of stores. It has a real quaint feel to it and is considered by many to be the perfect location to raise a family, free from the violence that can plague bigger towns and cities. In October of 2009, however, this quaint town would be rocked by an extremely brutal murder that became a chilling reminder to the world that you’re never truly safe, even in your own home.
