The State University of New York Brockport is a public university located in the historic village of Brockport, New York. The school boasts of fostering their students innovative thinking and leadership. In 2012, however, the school was accused of ignoring safety concerns on campus. There had been a handful of violent incidents, but shortly after a new term began that year, a gruesome crime on campus would rock the entire nation.
