Dawn was breaking over a quiet suburban street in Coquitlam when Ed Field heard the first pop. Half-asleep, he wondered if he’d imagined it. Then came another. And another. From his bedroom window, he watched two figures moving through the house across the street, one chasing the other through rooms blazing with light.
