In 2015, a 12-year-old girl in foster care vanished in Brisbane, Australia. It took six days before police even appealed to the public to try and find her, sparking a much-needed debate on how children in out-of-home care or children with difficult backgrounds are treated much differently than other children. The outcome of the case would reveal that Tia’s disappearance had been meticulously planned but by who?
