The Tragedy of the Bowman Sisters
On 26 September, 2008, the police of Lusby, Maryland, received multiple phone-calls from worried citizens that reported seeing a young girl running down the street. She was semi-naked and appeared to be covered in faeces and blood. The little girl, who was 7-years-old, was taken to a local hospital where an examination revealed that she had been the victim of violent abuse and neglect.

In 2014, 12-year-old Jamarion Lawhorn took some "red little pills" he had found in his home & stabbed another child to death. He expected that when police arrived at the scene, they would shoot him dead. He told them: "I want to die. I don't want to be on this earth anymore." An investigation revealed Jamarion had been the victim of extreme physical abuse & neglect at the hands of his mother & stepfather.
The Drowning of Steven Flanagan
It was 1 July, 2012, when guests at a Best Western hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, heard a woman screaming as she ran down the hallway. The woman was 33-year-old Sharon Flanagan from Inwood, West Virginia. In the bathtub inside her hotel room, a guest found the lifeless body of her two-year-old son.
The Greenough Family Massacre
In 1993, Karen MacKenzie and her three children - ages 16, 7 and 5 - were brutally murdered in their remote home in Greenough, Western Australia. Details of the grisly murders were so horrific that much of Australia called for the death penalty to be reinstated.
