In October of 2012, residents in an upmarket and lavish apartment complex in New York City were disturbed by a deafening scream echoing throughout the hallways. A mother had come home to find her apartment pitch black. In the bathroom, as her eyes adjusted to the light, she saw her bathtub spattered in blood and out of the corner of her eye, she saw a woman holding a knife.
