I’ve not seen a COVID camp nor a beating here, nor have I had the vaccine or COVID itself… I’m not sure what ‘freedoms’ you are referring to that the US has but we don’t… If you want a gun it’s generally possible to get a license and get one, and freedom of reproduction is far better here in Australia than in the US… Provided you’re not calling for violence against any person or group freedom of speech isn’t a problem (with some recent exceptions that are being tested in the courts as I write this) but I don’t know what you mean by being ‘afraid of dying for the freedom’ our forefathers fought to allow us… My own statistical likelihood of premature death is either a vehicle accident, or from a man I’ve decided to end a relationship with, and that holds true throughout most of the western world, US included…

Then why lock them up and throw away the key? Why not quickly and cheaply put them out of the way with all the guns you have rather than giving them 3 meals a day, a roof over their head, and free medical care (which is more than law-abiding US citizens are guaranteed)?

Plenty of inadequate sentences in US also… especially after the space crisis few decades ago in Texas (iirc) when they let heaps of violent criminals back on the streets with minimal fractions of their sentences served, many of whom went on to murder a few more innocent people
