There was a soda machine down the street outside the beer distributor and We knew the owner whom was like another grandfather to us ..We even called him Pappy and he would give us each a dollar and free soda… anyways We would walk down the street arms locked always looking out for said van! Nobody went anywhere alone and I used to think my parents used it as a scare tactic, never realized it was true!
