While it may be true Mr. Alexander may or may not been emotionally abusive to Ms. Arias, a necessary element to the defense of justifiable homicide, having Mr. Alexander being labeled a pedophile had no purpose to the defense other than to slander him as a villain. Rules of ethics in lawyering mandates an attorney must never suborn the perjury of his client. There was no corroborating admissible evidence Mr. Alexander was ever a pedophile. Thus, the line of questioning posed by Mr. Nurmi allowed Ms. Arias to make these despicable allegations Mr. Alexander was a pedophile without any corroborating independent evidence other than Ms Arias’ own testimony. Not only proven false on cross examination. For example, who would have sexual intercourse with a person suspected of being a pedophile? Moreover, not a necessary element of fear to the defense of justifiable homicide.
