At the St. Charles County 911 dispatch centre, the holiday season had brought an unusually calm night on one of the final days of 2018. But just before midnight, that all changed. A frantic and desperate call came through. Screaming, loud pops in the background and then a single chilling phrase – “he has a gun.”
